We don't want you to give us a donation every month and never show up. We want you for the long haul. We want to see our members reach the fitness goals they set for themselves. The "Why" that brought you into our gym is the "Why" we are going to remind you when you're tempted to quit, tempted to skip on a workout, or fail to show up for a week.
We are the most affordable CrossFit gym in Chattanooga. We believe everyone should be able to participate in a fitness program and that price shouldn't stand in the way of being able to improve your health. The amount of debt that fitness gyms have can be extremely high and as a result have to charge literally an arm and a leg to make good on obligations. At CrossFit Ooltewah, we have managed our obligations so that we can keep our pricing competitive and affordable.
Coaches change lives. At CrossFit Ooltewah, we pride ourselves on having the most competent and diverse coaching staff. If your goal is to lose weight and get in great shape, we have coaches who have already been through that process and know all the challenges it takes to achieve that goal. One thing that makes CrossFit so amazing is the diversity each gym brings. Not all CrossFit gyms are equal but what is unique to them all is the level of support members receive. At CrossFit Ooltewah, you're not going to find drama, clicks, or groups. We're not hardcore fitness enthusiasts. Yeah we train hard but change is hard. We're all just trying to be a little bit better than yesterday, and we help each along the way.
CrossFit Ooltewah is conveniently located beside Ooltewah High School at 6115 Mountain View Road, Ooltewah, TN 37363. There is easy means of access and egress with plenty of parking and lighting. We begin with an initial consultation to discover what your level of fitness is. We will ask you some health questions as well as perform some movement evaluations to make sure no major issues exist that would need to be addressed immediately. We will have you perform some fitness tests and then go over the results and recommend the best starting options to one of our programs.
Programs we offer at CrossFit Ooltewah:
Based on initial evaluations completed during the consultation, we may recommend personal training. These are private 1 on 1 sessions designed to familiarize someone with the movements they will encounter during the group environment. Typically a week in duration will suffice in order to expose an individual to the core movements in CrossFit so they can be successful in the classes. Everyone is different however, and may need a longer duration to be confident. Our main goal is to help our members be as successful as possible.
Our regular CrossFit Classes are designed for someone who is new to CrossFit or someone with CrossFit experience or athletic background. Our classes exist in a comfortable and supportive group setting. Every step of the process is planned out. We take care of all programming such as warm-up, skill-work, strength, workout, and mobility, and you receive full coaching instruction during each class. During these classes, you will perform movements of power lifting, weightlifting, basic gymnastics and body weight movements as well as rowing, running, and jumping.
Kids CrossFit Classes (5-17)
Our CrossFit Kids Class is intended to be fun for all ages (5-17). We provide a better alternative to inactive lifestyles. More active children translates to less childhood obesity and all around improved health. Our CrossFit Kids Class is scalable for any age or fitness level. Our goal is to teach kids good movement patterns as they progress from childhood to adolescence and in doing so, kids move better, experience enhanced performance with fewer injuries. They also experience a benefit in academics. Research shows that exercise is beneficial to intellectual function. That means consistent participation to an exercise program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievements.
Our Weightlifting classes are perfect for athletes who are looking to develop their snatch and clean/jerk. The snatch and the clean & jerk require speed, power, coordination, agility, accuracy, and balance. Often you will see weightlifting movements programmed into daily CrossFit workouts so it makes sense you would want to improve upon individual movements to get better. In this class you will work on the snatch and clean/jerk and their variations to become proficient at each.
